Description

The Golden Era of Ukrainian Pop Music.

Iryna Bilyk is one of the most outstanding and recognizable Ukrainian singers, known for her unique voice and experimental approach to arranging her albums. Kuvala Zozulya (The Cuckoo Sang) is her debut album from 1990, a tender and candid work with a warm, soft sound dedicated to the theme of love.

Iryna Bilyk began her solo career in 1988 and quickly achieved success, becoming one of the symbols of the new Ukrainian pop music of the 1990s. Thanks to her innovative methods and style, she often acted as a trendsetter in the music sphere. As a songwriter, she wrote many songs herself, which gave her lyrics a special, candid, and deeply emotional quality that was uncharacteristic of many of her contemporaries.

Kuvala Zozulya is Ms. Iryna's first album, filled with romantic pop ballads and her own emotional reflections on love. The album was born in tandem with the band "Tsey Dosh Nadovho" (This Rain is for a Long Time) – Yuriy Nikitin, Hryhoriy Uchaykin, and Zhan Bolotov. Lyrically, the album is revealed in the dramatic and emotional “Kuvala Zozulya” and the touching “Zoryana Nich” (Starry Night).

All her Ukrainian-language albums will be released on vinyl records: “Kuvala Zozulya,” “Ya Rozkazhu” (I Will Tell), “Nova” (New), “Tak Prosto” (So Simple), “Farby” (Paints), “Oma,” “Krayina” (Country), and also an 8th record—a compilation of singles. For those who purchase all 7 albums, the compilation will be a gift.

Each album is revolutionary and epoch-making, with its own concept and history. Iryna Bilyk had one of the greatest influences and essentially shaped the Ukrainian pop scene, oriented towards the West, for which she earned the title of "Ukrainian Madonna."

For the first time on vinyl from the ТІЛЬКИТАК Records team, created for connoisseurs and fans. Issued in black color and pressed on 180g vinyl to ensure depth of sound. The release is limited and totals 399 copies. The edition includes a booklet with song lyrics and a photo insert, the first 99 of which are autographed by Iryna Bilyk. Externally, the release is complemented by a manually numbered Obi-Strip, which emphasizes the collectible component of the album.
