Description
An Iconic Album of the Era.
Iryna Bilyk is an iconic Ukrainian singer and composer who became famous thanks to her bold creative experiments. The album Tak Prosto (So Simple) is one example of Iryna Bilyk's work with experimental sound and dramatically complex lyrics. The compositions in this album are dedicated to the theme of love and the immediacy of feelings. The music here is elegant and sensual, perfectly underlining the power of the direct lyrics.
Iryna Bilyk began her career in 1988 and quickly achieved success thanks to her recognizable style and arrangements. In the 1990s, she became the face of new Ukrainian pop music. Iryna Bilyk also often acted as the author of her own songs, which made them more candid. “Tak Prosto,” released in 1996, is an emotional, stylish, and at the same time sincere record featuring songs about love, loss, and the lightness of summer. The album included 12 tracks, among them “Day Ruku Meni” (Give Me Your Hand), “Francois,” “Prosto Lito” (Simply Summer), and “Tia-Tu.” In 1997, the massive “Tak Prosto” tour took place in support of the record—over 30 concerts across Ukraine. Performances at the Palace "Ukraina" were sold out in a matter of days, and the tour itself won the "Event of the Year" award.
All her Ukrainian-language albums will be released on vinyl records: “Kuvala Zozulya,” “Ya Rozkazhu,” “Nova,” “Tak Prosto,” “Farby,” “Oma,” “Krayina,” and also an 8th record—a compilation of singles. For those who purchase all 7 albums, the compilation will be a gift.
Each album is revolutionary and epoch-making, with its own concept and history. Iryna Bilyk had one of the greatest influences and essentially shaped the Ukrainian pop scene, oriented towards the West, for which she earned the title of "Ukrainian Madonna."
This edition from ТІЛЬКИТАК Records was created with a focus on authenticity, which is why the original CD cover art was used, which fans helped us find. The record is in brown color and pressed on 180g vinyl. The circulation totals 399 copies, the first 99 of which are autographed by the performer. The record comes complete with an insert featuring photos from that period and a booklet with song lyrics.
It is externally adorned with an Obi-Strip featuring hand-numbering to emphasize the collectible component of the release.
