Tonka – Acoustic album

We sincerely believe that music is a dialogue. It is born between musicians during the creation of songs. It lives between the artist and the listener at concert venues. It continues when music plays in headphones.

Tonka is a representative of the contemporary Ukrainian "intellectual" pop scene, who gained recognition thanks to their sensual lyrics and atmospheric electronic-indie sound. The band was formed in 2018 by Olena Karas (vocals) and Yaroslav Tatarchenko (keyboards), who were later joined by Olexandr Yavdyk (drums).

"Akustychnyi Albom" (Acoustic Album) is a unique work in which the band’s popular songs have been reinterpreted in an intimate acoustic arrangement. This format returns to the essence of music thanks to its pure vocals, the intimate atmosphere of each song, and minimal instrumental accompaniment. Such an original format allows for a fresh appreciation of the integrity and quality of the musical material.

For the first time on vinyl from the ТІЛЬКИТАК team, this special performance for a special release. A bonus to the release is a letter written by the band that continues the album's theme of intimacy between the performers and the listeners. The uniqueness of this letter also lies in the possibility of feedback — it is made in such a way that everyone can write a reply.

Gatefold sleeve, and each copy is supplemented with an art object – a passe-partout, 100 of which are signed by the band, and a handwritten letter which includes space for a reply; the first 50 of these letters are personally handwritten by Olena. Available in two colors:

• Black: classic black 180g vinyl, limited edition — 399 copies, 49 of which contain the band’s autographs.
• Dark Red: dark red 180g vinyl, limited edition — 99 copies, 49 of which contain the band’s autographs; this particular edition contains the personally handwritten letters.
