Cepasa – Heart

Cepasa is a Ukrainian electronic artist, composer, and producer led by Pavlo Lenchenko. His music combines house-driven rhythms, emotional tension, and carefully constructed album dramaturgy. Serce is Cepasa’s sixth studio album, created in Kyiv between 2022 and 2025 and released on vinyl in collaboration with TILKYTTAK Records. It is the artist’s second full-length release following Niby Chaiky, an album fully formed and released during the full-scale war.

Work on Serce largely took place in a live-performance context: most of the compositions existed on stage for a long time, evolving in tempo, structure, and development before receiving their final studio form. Cepasa consistently approaches the album as a cohesive form of expression rather than a collection of individual tracks, and this approach defines the rhythm and dramaturgy of the release. The studio versions preserve the logic of live performance — the material is not adapted for radio or streaming, and the concert format is treated as an equal mode of existence for the music. Most tracks are built around classic house tempos of 120–122 BPM and exceed five minutes in length.

The vinyl edition of Serce is released as a standalone work with its own tracklist and internal logic. Presented as a double LP, the album features 16 tracks that do not duplicate the digital version. The release includes bonus tracks Waves (2025 version) and a remix of Waves by French duo dOP, both available exclusively on vinyl. The edition is complemented by a gatefold sleeve with illustrations by the artist’s father, an insert for autographs included in the first 99 copies, and printed inner sleeves.
The material has been specially remastered for the analog format, emphasizing depth of sound and dynamic range.

The album includes the track To Liubov, which topped Spotify’s editorial playlist New Music Friday and was released with the album’s cover artwork. Alongside it are Spotguide and De Ty Teper — tracks that have already become recognizable parts of Cepasa’s catalog — as well as a collaborative track with NICHKA. The material from Serce has been presented live twice: on the main stage of the Vyava Festival and at the Kureni venue.

Cepasa is a YUNA Award winner (2017), the author of six albums, film music, and the track Kyiv, created at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Serce marks another stage in his artistic development and stands as an important release in contemporary Ukrainian electronic music.
