Iryna Bilyk – Farby

An album included in the list of “100 Greatest Albums of Ukrainian Independence.”

Iryna Bilyk is an iconic Ukrainian singer and songwriter who rose to fame through bold artistic experimentation. The album “Farby” (Colors) is one of her most important works, dedicated to social issues and the search for one’s identity within chaos. Nearly every song on the album became a recognizable hit which, thanks to its strong ideas, remains relevant today and now returns in a new format.

Iryna Bilyk began her career in 1988 and quickly achieved success thanks to her distinctive style and arrangements. In the 1990s, she became the face of the new Ukrainian pop music scene. Bilyk often wrote her own songs, making them more personal and emotionally open. “Farby” was released in 1997 and immediately gained massive popularity, selling over 1 million copies in Ukraine. It is one of the most significant releases in the artist’s musical legacy. This album introduced such well-known songs as “Odynokaya,” “Shchastia Moye,” and the beloved “A Ya Plyvu.” The album consists of 12 tracks, including a remix version of “Odynokaya.”

All Ukrainian-language albums will be released on vinyl: “Kuvala Zozulya,” “Ya Rozkazhu,” “Nova,” “Tak Prosto,” “Farby,” “Oma,” “Kraina,” as well as an eighth vinyl a singles compilation. For those who purchase all seven albums, the compilation will be included as a gift.
Each album is revolutionary and era-defining, with its own concept and story. Iryna Bilyk had one of the greatest influences on shaping Ukrainian pop music, orienting it toward Western trends earning her the title of “the Ukrainian Madonna.”

The TILKYTAK Records edition will be released as a double pink 180g vinyl. The limited edition of 399 copies, with the first 99 signed by the artist. This is a gatefold edition with lyrics printed inside, complemented by an insert featuring photographs from that era.

The outer sleeve is adorned with an Obi-Strip and hand-numbered, emphasizing the collectible value of the release.
