Product description
Drive and Movement: The unstoppable energy of Ukrainian Hutsul Metal.
Karna is a well-known Ukrainian rock band from Ivano-Frankivsk. They have a signature performance style combining alternative rock and Carpathian folklore—"Hutsul Metal." Letymo (We Fly) is the collective's debut album that laid the foundation for Hutsul Metal. Lyrically, the album is filled with calls for movement, speed, and the rejection of limitations, which perfectly matches its powerful, guitar-oriented rock sound. This is music that makes you lift off the ground.
The band was created in 1997 and immediately declared itself as representatives of Ukrainian alternative metal. The band's name was chosen as a reference to pre-Christian beliefs, in which Karna is a deity that personified a mourner for the deceased. It is also the embodiment of punishment, pity, and death on the battlefield.
The album “Letymo” is the band's first full-scale work, featuring 10 powerful tracks, released in 2003, full of emotions and a rebellious spirit. Compositions on the record, such as "My Budemo Razom" (We Will Be Together), "Kazka" (Fairy Tale), and "Letymo," have already become classics of the Ukrainian rock scene. The album conveys a state of internal struggle, a striving for freedom, and strength that remain relevant today.
The cult album is on vinyl for the first time from ТІЛЬКИТАК Records. The limited circulation of 299 copies is supplemented with archival photos in a booklet and song lyrics, a photo insert for future autographs, and is available in two record colors:
Grey: Gray 180g vinyl, circulation – 199 copies, the first 49 of which contain the band's autographs.
Orange: Orange 180g vinyl, circulation – 99 copies, the first 49 of which contain the band's autographs, and as a unique feature, a copy of the entrance ticket from the Letymo album presentation in 2003 is included here.
A hand-numbered Obi-Strip adds collectible value to the release.
