Sick Solution – 1995

Sick Solution is a modern Ukrainian hardcore band from Vinnytsia that has become one of the most recognizable representatives of Ukraine’s new heavy music scene. Starting their journey with post-hardcore and metalcore influences, the band gradually developed their own sound — metallic hardcore blended with elements of heavy metal, djent, black metal, nu metal, and melodic hardcore.

“1995” is the band’s third EP and the fourth release in Sick Solution’s discography. It is a record about a generation that grew up during times of uncertainty, loss, and constant struggle. The album takes its name from the shared birth year of the band members and became a personal story of four people connected not only by music, but also by a shared experience.

The release was created during the period when all members of the band were serving in the 12th Special Forces Brigade “Azov” of the National Guard of Ukraine. Work on the material began in June 2025, but due to combat missions and military training, it was completed only in the autumn of the same year.

“1995” represents a darker and more emotionally intense side of Sick Solution. While “Hardcore Yakuza” was a direct burst of energy and aggression, the new release goes deeper — through exhaustion, loss, the search for meaning, and an attempt to find light in a reality that constantly changes.

The EP consists of four tracks, each with its own story:

“Jihad XXX” — a manifesto of strength and principles. A song dedicated to the straight edge culture and the values that the band members have carried for more than a decade: self-control, loyalty to personal beliefs, and the fight for life.

“Skrukha” (feat. АННА) — a meeting of two generations of the Ukrainian heavy music scene. The collaboration with the band АННА combines the atmosphere of Ukrainian metal of the 2000s with Sick Solution’s modern sound. It is a song about losing childhood dreams, growing up, and facing the reality of war.

“Zashmorg” — the centerpiece of the release and the heaviest track in the band’s discography. The song explores inner struggles, personal breakdowns, and the search for reasons to keep moving forward even during the darkest moments.

“Ya by vichno blukav po tvoyikh slidakh…” — the most lyrical and unexpected track for the band. A story about love, support, and hope that appears even when there seems to be no way out.

For the physical edition, TILKYTAK Records created a release that continues the atmosphere and aesthetics of the album. A limited, individually numbered edition of only 299 copies. The Picture Disc Vinyl edition includes the first 99 copies with the band members’ autographs.

The minimalistic design, dark atmosphere, and emotional intensity of the record are reflected in every detail of the vinyl edition.
