Product description
One of the band's most famous and controversial works.
The Vyo is an iconic Ukrainian band dating back to the 1990s, legends of "Terytoriya A," laureates of "Chervona Ruta," and pioneers of reggae in our country. Starting their existence in the turbulent 90s, the band, through their music, gave pure positive vibrations that feel like the warm, sunny touch of a summer day. The phenomenon of The Vyo is a reflection of eras and moods, social and cultural changes in society, which has made their music relevant and timeless. Ukrainian-language reggae from Poltava region broke stereotypes and made the musicians from Kobeliaky a unique and original part of our culture.
The album “Ganja” is a landmark work for The Vyo, combining earlier works with the band's later stage. Musically, it is pure, high-quality reggae-rock with elements of electronica. The collection will include 19 tracks (recorded between 1995 and 1998), some of which were released in 2008, as well as previously unreleased ones. The edition contains 4 exclusive bonus tracks, original versions of the songs “Zori” (Stars) and “Manuna,” as well as the tracks “Iova” and “Soroka” (Magpie). These tracks will be heard for the first time only on vinyl, as they have not been published anywhere before.
Approaching the creation of this release, the ТІЛЬКИТАК Records team restored all the musical materials for the vinyl edition. Produced in the color Nagana (green and yellow) on double vinyl and pressed on 180g records. The gatefold sleeve features all the lyrics for the tracks, and the edition is supplemented with a photo insert for future autographs and a large poster with the band's logo. The circulation totals 299 copies, the first 99 of which are autographed.
A hand-numbered Obi-Strip adds collectible value to the release and indicates the copy number.
